In a nutshell
We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Associate to work with us on reputation and corporate affairs-focussed research projects for a range of interesting and high-profile public and private sector clients. If you are a recent graduate or currently work in a junior role in a commercial environment where you enjoy making sense of data and events around you, and you have a strong interest in current affairs and social/political/economic trends, then we would like to hear from you.
Your skills & experience
You either already have some research experience (through university or previous role/s) or are interested in research. You have a broad range of interests, are curious about how the business world works and are keen to follow the current affairs and political trends that influence it. You demonstrate outstanding written and verbal skills, excellent attention to detail and time management skills. You want to learn how research applies to business challenges and have a strong desire to use your initiative to grow, develop and learn.
You will play a key part in proactively supporting the team at Yonder. You will spend most of your time using research (whether quantitative, qualitative, or other forms of contextual information) to find answers to our clients’ questions or solve their problems, such as ‘how can I understand and respond to wider political / social / commercial trends?’, ‘how can I best achieve a policy objective?’, ‘how can I achieve a specific business/commercial objective’? or ‘how can I run an effective public campaign?’.
These research projects may focus on public opinion, stakeholder opinion (e.g. MPs, national journalists, leaders of influential third sector organisations etc.), demographic analysis, or other forms of data.
You will be given responsibility from day one, conducting interviews/focus groups, helping to draft questionnaires, discussion guides, reports and presentations. You will undertake desk research to support business proposals and client work. You will work alongside Yonder Data Solutions to test online and telephone surveys and you will play a role in bringing our data to life through reporting data visualisation. You will have the opportunity to be client facing, whilst supporting the new business process.
You will also have an interest in other things that we do and offer from brand strategy to advanced data analytics and design.
What Yonder can offer you
Yonder has a real buzz as we continue to grow. We reward people who help to drive that growth and the company supports and encourages new ideas which will add value. We offer a competitive salary, 25 days holiday (plus your birthday day off!), a 5% employer pension contribution, life assurance and other benefits like volunteering leave, flexible working and 4pm finishes on Fridays etc.
