In a nutshell
We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious Consultant to work with us on reputation and corporate affairs-focussed research projects for a range of interesting and high-profile public and private sector clients. If you are a Research Executive or Senior Research Executive, or currently work in a junior role in a commercial environment where you enjoy making sense of data and events around you, and you have a strong interest in current affairs and social/political/economic trends, then we would like to hear from you.
Your skills & experience
You would have been a mixed-methodology Research Executive for at least two years, or a Senior Research Executive or equivalent, and are ready to step into a Consultant role. You have a broad range of interests, are curious about how the business world works and follow the current affairs and political trends that influence it. You demonstrate outstanding written and verbal skills, can be trusted to manage projects independently, and have excellent attention to detail. You can creatively apply research to business challenges and use your initiative to grow, develop and learn.
You will lead the day to day management of research projects focussed on issues relating to reputation and corporate affairs and will analyse data to help advise our clients at a strategic level. These research projects may focus on public opinion, stakeholder opinion (e.g. MPs, national journalists, leaders of influential third sector organisations etc.), demographic analysis, or other forms of data. You will play a key role in writing up, visualising, and presenting findings.
You will spend most of your time using research to find answers to our clients’ questions or solve their problems, such as ‘how can I understand and respond to wider political / social / commercial trends?’, ‘how can I best achieve a policy objective?’, ‘how can I achieve a specific business/commercial objective’? or ‘how can I run an effective public campaign?’.
You will be given responsibility from day one, managing various aspects of projects, conducting interviews and sometimes focus groups, drafting questionnaires, discussion guides, reports and presentations. You will undertake desk research to support business proposals and client work, and will be expected to regularly contribute ideas in meetings with colleagues.
You will also have an interest in other things that we do and offer from brand strategy to advanced data analytics and design.
