The poll covered the following issues: Is the Tax Credit System Satisfactory; Is the Government able to Deliver on Good Ideas; Should Ministers or Civil Servants be Blamed for the Failure of Policies; Is the Current Government as Incompetent as the Previous Tory Government.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,006 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 7th June 2006 and 8th June 2006. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
