This poll probed the value placed on marriage by society and attitudes towards single parents.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1013 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 11th July 2007 and 12th July 2007. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
