The poll covered the following topics: Should the Government Introduce a Pollution Tax; Who will be Worst Affected by a Pollution Tax; Are Green Taxes just another Stealth Tax; Is there Any Point in Environmentally Friendly Behaviour.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,002 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 2nd November 2006 and 3rd November 2006. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
