The poll covered the following issues: Perceptions of Immigrants Contribution to British Economy; Importance of Immigration as an Issue; Concerns about European Immigrants as contrasted to International Immigrants; Support for Identity Cards.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,004 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 17th May 2006 and 18th May 2006. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
