The poll covered The Political Spectrum (where voters place themselves, the parties and party leaders on the left,right scale), statements about the parties and leaders, and topical questions on the economy.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,008 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 5th September 2008 and 7th September 2008. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to be representative of all adults.
