The poll covered the following issues: Voting Intention; Party Leader Index; Predictions of General Election Outcome; Economic Expectations; Views on Olympics; Views on Drugs-Taking in Athletics; British Olympic Performance; Attitudes towards Olympic Venue Selection Procedures and the British Bid for 2012 Olympics.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,004 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 30th July 2004 and 1st August 2004. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
