The poll covered the following issues: Consumers Should Decide on the Matter of Sunday Opening Hours, not Politicians; Restrictions on Sunday Opening Hours Should be Scrapped; Would People Shop More on a Sunday if Restrictions were Dropped; Would those Whom Wouldn’t Change their Buying Habits be in Support of Dropping Restrictions Nonetheless.
Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,006 adults aged 18+ by telephone between 31st March 2006 and 2nd April 2006. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
