This poll,part of a regular monthly series for The Times,covered Voting Intention, Britain’s economy, the next general election and the Lisbon Treaty creating the new position of EU President.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,504 adults aged 18+ by telephone between November 6th and 8th 2009. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to be representative of all adults.
