The poll covered the following issues: Should the Government Introduce Compulsory Water Meters; Is more Water Wasted through Pipe Leaks than Careless Home use; Should Water Companies be Forced to fix all leaks Before they are Allowed to make a Profit; Should the Water Industry be Renationalized.

Populus interviewed a random sample of 1,012adults aged 18+ by telephone between 14th June 2006 and 15th June 2006. Interviews were conducted across England and the results have been weighted to be representative of all English adults.
